I have a specific recommendation to address the above themes.
I would strongly recommend that all high school students have to volunteer 25 to 30 hours of their time to civic duties and community projects. These volunteer duties could be anything that have a civic element like cleaning their schools or colleges, helping people in need; visiting sick people in hospitals, helping out in places of worships; etc. The volunteered hours and the civic duties rendered should be recorded, dated and signed by a responsible adult In a simple booklet. When the students has completed their 25 -30 hours of civic duties, their teachers should check the recordings and sign the students’ booklet. It is a simple and inexpensive process. The end results are that students have a taste of civic duties and responsibilities which will change their mindset in a very positive manner.

I hope my contribution helps in a positive way to move ahead. I am free to discuss any of the above further.
